Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's the difference between homemade and grocery store baked goods?

Grocery store baked goods are often made in large commercial batches and are designed for consistency and a longer shelf life. Many are produced days—or even weeks—before they reach the shelf. Our baked goods are handcrafted in small batches right here in our home kitchen under Florida's Cottage Food Law. We bake for flavor, freshness, and quality rather than mass production. Many of our items are baked the same day they'll be available. You'll notice the difference in the texture, flavor, and freshness.

  • Why are homemade cookies and baked goods more expensive than grocery store products?

That's a great question!

Large manufacturers purchase ingredients by the truckload, use industrial equipment, and produce thousands of items at once, which keeps their costs low.

We're a small family bakery. Every batch is mixed, baked, decorated, packaged, labeled, and prepared by hand. We also choose quality ingredients and bake in much smaller quantities to ensure freshness.

When you shop with us, you're not just buying a cookie or a bagel—you're supporting local, handcrafted baking while helping Tiny Hiney Farm, Inc. continue caring for rescued horses and donkeys.

  • What's so special about Tiny Hiney Country Market?

We're more than a bakery.

Tiny Hiney Country Market was created to help support Tiny Hiney Farm, Inc., our nonprofit equine rescue. Every purchase helps us continue caring for horses and donkeys that deserve a second chance.

When you buy from us, you're supporting a local family, a small business, and a rescue—all at the same time.

  • Why are your products named after the herd?

Our rescue animals are the heart of Tiny Hiney Country Market, and each one has their own Herd Collection inspired by their unique personality.

Every Herd Collection tells the story of one of our rescue animals. As our bakery grows, so will each collection—meaning there will always be something new to discover while supporting Tiny Hiney Farm, Inc.

  • What is Papa Angelo's Heritage Collection?

Papa Angelo was my Papa, who passed away in 2019, but his legacy still lives on.

Many decades ago, he owned his own restaurant in Pensacola. Growing up, spending time around his restaurant and the family recipes became a huge part of my life. That's where my love for cooking—and honestly, food in general!—really began!

Papa Angelo's Heritage Collection celebrates our family's Italian heritage. This collection is dedicated to old-world baking traditions and timeless family recipes. Here you'll find our artisan breads, Italian-inspired loaves, ciabatta, focaccia, biscotti, and other handcrafted bakery favorites that celebrate family, heritage, and the joy of sharing good food.

  • Are your baked goods homemade?

Yes!

Everything is mixed, baked, decorated, packaged, and labeled by us in our home kitchen following Florida's Cottage Food regulations.

No factories.
No warehouses.
Just homemade baking made with care.

  • Do you bake every day?

Right now we take pre-orders only until our physical stands are up and running. All baked items are made fresh to order!

We bake in small batches so our menu changes throughout the week. Some favorites will be available regularly, while seasonal and specialty items may only appear from time to time.

It keeps things fun and gives you something new to look forward to!

  • Can I preorder?

Absolutely!

In fact, we encourage it.

Preordering is the best way to make sure you get exactly what you're hoping for—especially if you're ordering multiple items or one of our more popular flavors.

Simply send us a message, and we'll let you know our next available pickup date and time.

  • Will your menu change?

Yes!

We're always experimenting with new recipes, seasonal flavors, and herd-inspired creations.

There will always be something new to discover at Tiny Hiney Country Market.

  • Do you take custom or large orders?

Yes!

We'd love to help with birthdays, holidays, teacher gifts, office treats, family gatherings, and other special occasions.

The more notice you can give us, the better we can ensure everything is baked fresh just for you.

  • Do you offer allergy-friendly products?

Our kitchen uses ingredients that include wheat, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, and other common allergens. While individual products may not contain certain allergens, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free kitchen.

  • Where can I buy your goodies?

We have two Tiny Hiney Country Market locations, each offering its own unique shopping experience!

Holt, Florida – The Original Stand

Our original self-serve country market is home to our Herd Collections and Papa Angelo's Heritage Collection, featuring artisan breads, cookies, bagels, Tiny Bundts, biscotti, and seasonal baked goods inspired by our rescue animals and our family's Italian heritage.

Fort Walton Beach

Our Fort Walton Beach location, operated by my mom, offers a different lineup featuring our growing collection of fun flavored popcorn, handcrafted spice and herb blends, fresh breads, pantry favorites, and much more!

Be sure to follow us on Facebook to see what's available at each location, as our menus and specialty items change throughout the week.

  • How does my purchase help the rescue?

Every purchase helps support Tiny Hiney Farm, Inc. and the horses and donkeys who call it home.

Your purchase helps provide:

• Hay and feed

• Farrier care

• Veterinary care

• Shelter and daily necessities

• Rehabilitation for animals getting a second chance

Every cookie, bagel, bundt cake, and loaf truly makes a difference.

  • Do you take flavor suggestions?

Absolutely!

Some of our favorite ideas have come from customers. If there's a flavor you'd love to see, we'd love to hear it! After all, some of the best recipes start with a simple idea.
